Principal's Message

Jay Prakash Singh

"To reach to your goals, you must start today, Do not hesitate to think, dream and act and one day you will be a winner." Jay Prakash Singh

I am proud to serve as the principal of this state of the art school. Our teachers and support staff are dedicated to inspiring excellence in all our students by providing each child with the best educational experiences possible,. With our diverse population of over 1000 students, Wilbur Elementary offers a variety of educational and support programs to meet the varied needs of our student .

We believe in proactively handling situations and pride ourselves on a positive school climate . Our staff has adopted core beliefs that guide our interactions with students on a daily basis. These belief are:

• With adult guidance, students should be allowed to solve the problems they create in their own way provided that the solution does not make a problem for others.

• Preserving and/or enhancing a student's self-respect and dignity is crucial to a successful disciplinary action.

• During a disciplinary interaction , the adult's emphasis should be placed on the student !earning new behaviors instead of "paying" for past deeds. • Discipline should be considered an opportunity for personal growth rather than a bad thing that should never happen,

It gives me an immense pleasure in conveying my deep appreciation to the staff and students who have been performing their onerous duties and fulfilling their responsibilities with a sense of commitment.

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all."—Dale Carnegie

Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."—Thomas Edison

"Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful."—Joshua J. Marine

Our vision is inspiring excellence in all Students is not just a motto, but is a way of life at Wilbur elementary.
